ISS DevSecOps engineers deploy and test new software onto customer systems using a combination of automated and manual processes with security and minimal errors and downtime

Essential Functions

• Deploy and test new software onto customer systems using a combination of automated and manual processes with security and minimal errors and downtime
• Monitor existing deployments and proactively address security, functionality, and configuration issues ahead of the customer needs
• Work with cross-functional teams including software development, customer support, and sales teams as needed to ensure proper system operation and customer satisfaction
• Responsible for developing, provisioning, and testing application deployment automation
• Work directly with customers, their on-premise and hosted appliances, and ensure highest possible uptime covering engineering and manufacturing functions
• Build, design, test, and deploy high quality solutions utilizing multiple technologies & tools
• Research and recommend automated solutions for new and existing deployments
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality software development
• Proactively identify and resolve inefficient systems
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Competencies

• Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of Linux shell scripting, AWS, JavaScript, Python, Jenkins, Git, Docker, as well as automated deployment software like Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Linux-based servers, networking, and applications
• Expertise with web security technologies such as HTTPS, TLS, SSH, OpenSSL, and X509
• Experience in designing or configuring systems and/or applications
• Software debug skills with the ability to get to root cause of issues quickly and efficiently
• Operations team experience
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools such as Jenkins or Gitlab
• Experience doing project work
• Think fast on your feet, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and be laser focused on doing whatever it takes to satisfy clients and prospects explicit needs, as close to real time as is possible

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in software, computer, electronics, or other relevant engineering disciplines
• Two or more years of DevOps and related experience

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

• Must be a U.S. citizen

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
