Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and automation-driven Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of deployment infrastructure across hybrid environments. This role is critical to driving a “automate everything” mindset — from infrastructure provisioning to secure and efficient CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong collaboration, mentoring, and leadership capabilities. You will work cross-functionally with development, security, and infrastructure teams while also mentoring junior engineers and championing DevOps best practices across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, build, and management of CI/CD pipelines using tools.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration using AWS CloudFormation and other IaC tools.
  • Support and enhance infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
  • Drive DevOps best practices across teams by embedding security controls, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks directly into CI/CD workflows.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and security teams to deliver scalable and secure infrastructure.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical growth and consistency across the DevOps practice.
  • Maintain clear documentation of automation processes, standards, and deployment runbooks.
  • Troubleshoot production and development environment issues, supporting rapid resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in a shared on-call rotation to ensure infrastructure and pipeline availability, stability, and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure and automation meet audit requirements, and support internal and external audit activities as needed.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or related engineering roles.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD automation tools.
  • Expertise with AWS CloudFormation and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Deep knowledge of Git workflows, code branching, and secure deployment strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive, mentoring mindset.
  • Experience working with or supporting IT/security audits (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or internal audits) is a plus.
