UX Designer – Smart Health & Wearable Devices

About the Role

Waterless Beauty is the fastest growing sector in the entire beauty industry, and we are the fastest growing waterless beauty brand disrupting the industry.

Oliveda is expanding into the Smart Health & Wearable Devices space, combining wellness, skincare science, and next-generation health technology. We are seeking a UX Designer to lead the user experience design of our new connected wearable ecosystem.

You will play a key role in shaping intuitive, elegant, and science-driven digital experiences that bridge physical devices and mobile applications, helping users understand and improve their health and wellness in real time.

Key Responsibilities

· Design end-to-end user experiences for smart wearable devices and companion mobile applications

· Translate complex biometric and health data into clear, meaningful, and actionable user interfaces

· Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, and software engineering teams

· Develop user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs

· Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterative design improvements

· Define interaction patterns for real-time health tracking (heart rate, skin health, sleep, stress, etc.)

· Ensure seamless integration between hardware, firmware, and digital interfaces

· Maintain consistency with Oliveda’s luxury wellness and science-driven brand identity

Requirements

· 4+ years of experience in UX/UI design (preferably in health tech, wearables, or IoT products)

· Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile + product experience design

· Experience designing for data-heavy or biometric-driven interfaces

· Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar

· Understanding of human-centered design and usability principles

· Ability to simplify complex scientific/medical data into intuitive UX

· Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams

· Strong visual design sensibility aligned with premium/luxury brands is a plus

Nice to Have

· Experience in wearable technology, digital health, or fitness ecosystems

· Familiarity with biometric sensors and health data interpretation

· Knowledge of behavioral design or habit-forming product design

· Background in wellness, skincare tech, or med-tech industries

Job Details

· Job Type: Full-Time, on-site (Culver City, CA)

· Compensation: $82,000 – $92,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

· Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Health Insurance, plus 401(k)
