Job Title: Security Analyst (SOAR / Automation) – Fully Remote
Location: Fully Remote (Preference for candidates near Columbia, SC)
Job Type: Contract W2 or 1099
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Security Analyst with strong automation and SOAR experience to support enterprise security operations. This role focuses on developing and maintaining security automations, integrating tools, and supporting incident response activities across large, complex environments. The ideal candidate has experience working in multi-tenant environments and building scalable automation solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in security architecture may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of experience with automation platforms or SOAR solutions
- 5+ years supporting large IT environments and/or system deployments
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
- Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and YAML
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Experience working in multi-tenancy environments, multi-agency, or enterprise service projects
Preferred Qualifications
- CISSP, CISA, CISO, or equivalent advanced security certifications (CEH, OSCP, GPEN)
- Vendor certifications in SOAR or automation technologies
- Experience creating automations within Cortex XSOAR platform
- Knowledge of security monitoring use cases and incident response support
- Candidates local to Columbia, SC or surrounding areas preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security automation playbooks and workflows
- Integrate security tools using APIs and automation platforms
- Support incident response through orchestration and automated remediation
- Collaborate with security operations teams to identify automation opportunities
- Develop scripts to improve operational efficiency and security response
- Support large enterprise and multi-tenant security environments
- Document automation workflows and operational procedures

Pay: Up to $134,400.00 per year
