We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic Testing team. Location Requirement: This is a full-time, on-site position based in Tallahassee, FL. While all qualified candidates will be considered, priority will be given to applicants currently residing within a 250-mile radius of our headquarters and those who are willing and able to relocate. Remote work is not available for this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for API, and backend systems.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and test engineers to define test strategies and ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Investigate and resolve issues in software and automation pipelines, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in test automation and software quality.
- Participate in code reviews, offering insights on testability and overall quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related field of study; will consider relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing complex test automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated initiative in driving quality improvements and adopting new technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Bamboo, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
