Position: Commercial Construction Estimator

Location: Youngstown, OH (serving Akron, OH, Cleveland, OH, and western PA including Pittsburgh, PA)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates and detailed proposals for commercial construction projects. You will play a pivotal role in securing contracts and ensuring a seamless transition to project management once contracts are awarded. Your expertise will also aid in business development, contributing to the company's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:

- Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, focusing on aluminum storefronts, aluminum curtain walls, glass handrails, all-glass entrance systems, automatic door systems, aluminum panel systems, sheet metal, and caulking.

- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather essential project information.

Proposal Preparation:

- Develop and present detailed proposals that clearly outline project scope, timelines, and costs.

- Ensure proposals are competitive and align with company standards and client requirements.

Business Development:

- Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

- Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.

Project Turnover:

- Ensure a seamless transition of awarded contracts to the project management team.

- Provide comprehensive project details and support during the handover process.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a construction estimator, preferably in the commercial glass industry.

- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications.

- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Proficient in relevant software and tools (e.g., estimating software, MS Office).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
