Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect – Healthcare RCM Platform
Job Overview:
As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of a secure, scalable, and AI-augmented cloud-based healthcare billing platform on Azure. You will play a critical role in defining the architecture and technology stack that powers the full Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) journey—from patient registration to payment posting and A/R management—infused with Generative AI, OCR, NLP, and automation where it drives the most value. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure that what we build isn’t just technically sound—but also compliant, maintainable, and transformational for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Architect the next-generation RCM platform using Azure-native services and modern application frameworks.
- Select and validate the best technology stack for a secure, scalable, multi-tenant cloud application.
- Design and implement microservices-based infrastructure to support modular deployment of RCM functions.
- Ensure secure data handling in compliance with HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FHIR, HL7, and X12 standards across RCM processes.
- Guide the use of GenAI for intelligent process automation, including claim validation, documentation, and denial prediction.
- Establish DevOps pipelines and IaC (e.g., Bicep, Terraform) for scalable and repeatable deployments.
- Drive decisions on APIs, messaging frameworks (e.g., TCP/EDI queues), observability, and governance.
- Mentor engineering teams and review technical designs, ensuring alignment with long-term architectural goals.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a cloud architect or senior cloud engineer.
- 5+ years of experience building solutions on Microsoft Azure using services such as Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, and Key Vault.
- Strong experience designing microservices and distributed systems in healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with ANSI X12 (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277), HL7, and FHIR data formats.
- Deep understanding of software security, encryption, identity management, and compliance requirements (HIPAA/HITECH).
- Strong knowledge of API design, ETL pipelines, and integration with EMRs and clearinghouses.
- Familiarity with current approaches to integrated AI into workflow
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with modern data analytics platforms (e.g., Synapse, Power BI, or custom dashboards).
- Experience embedding LLMs or OCR into real-world workflows.
- Exposure to DevSecOps principles and tools like GitHub Actions, Defender for Cloud, and Application Insights.
- Hands-on knowledge of building multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Familiarity with healthcare financial KPIs and provider workflows is a strong plus
- Strategic thinker with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
- Passionate about transforming healthcare through technology.
- Strong communicator who can bridge engineering and business goals.
- Proven ability to lead architectural discussions with executive stakeholders and developers alike.
- Thriving learner in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
