Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with relational databases, an understanding of data modeling, and proficiency in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including C#, .NET, and Blazor. This role offers the opportunity to work on a cloud-based platform supporting aviation maintenance operations.

This is a remote position, but we prefer candidates who are located within 200 miles of Washington, DC, as occasional in-person meetings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using C#, .NET, and Javascript
• Design, implement, and optimize relational database structures
• Work with Azure cloud services to deploy and manage applications
• Collaborate with senior developers to refine system architecture and performance
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
• Assist in integrating third-party APIs and services

Required Qualifications

• Experience with relational databases and a good understanding of data modeling
• Proficiency in C#, .NET Core or .NET 6+, and Javascript
• Familiarity with Azure services (e.g., App Services, Functions, SQL Databases)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with FAA regulatory data, including Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, Flutter or Blazor
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of authentication and security best practices
