Job description
A $5,000 Sign-On bonus is available to full-time, external candidates in exchange for a two (2) year commitment.
Relocation of up to $7,500 is available to full-time, external candidates in exchange for a two (2) year commitment.
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the planning, managing, supporting and monitoring of enterprise imaging systems and related projects for The Queen’s Health System (QHS).
- Responsible for leading cross functional teams to identify operational needs, implement industry best practices, facilitation of prioritization, and bridging the gap between operational needs and technical delivery.
- Responsible and accountable for imaging solution delivery, including analysis functions, technical implementation, successful completion and user acceptance of the enterprise imaging solutions and related technologies.
- Partners with administration and operational managers to improve the quality and value of business and clinical processes through the utilization of information technology (IT) solutions.
- Provides leadership to drive effective and efficient delivery of products and services.
- Responsible for the technical implementation, successful completion and client acceptance of the technical solutions that support the business information systems.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Required: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
- Frequent: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, walking.
- Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management, healthcare or related field; or four (4) years progressive experience in planning, managing, supporting and/or monitoring of Information Technology or Enterprise Imaging Systems may be substituted for the educational requirement.
- Master’s degree preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- In addition to the educational requirement:
o Five (5) years experience planning, implementing and/or supporting enterprise imaging systems, including system and workflow analysis, integration, and technical delivery, preferably in an acute care facility or integrated healthcare delivery system environment.
o Five (5) years healthcare experience.
- Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
- Four (4) years experience implementing enterprise imaging systems preferred.
- Four (4) years experience in project management preferred.
- Experience to demonstrate organizational change management and process improvement training/experience preferred.
