Comexi North America is seeking a Software Service Engineer.

Mission

Reduce unexpected machine downtime for flexographic, laminating and cutting lines remotely. Carry out machine software modifications and improvements to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure customer support by going into detail on the electro-automatic and software functions of the machines.
• Create the list of materials for electrical and pneumatic components for assigned projects in the company's defined environment (SALESFORCE, PLM, SAP, etc.).
• Quickly and efficiently resolve issues and problems that may arise related to projects you are working on or have worked on.
• Continuous attention and active follow-up of different situations that the machinery may have at the client's site.
• Programming and improvements to the automations sent to the client's site.
• Manage client requests.
• Make the pertinent modifications to the machines already installed at the client's site.
• Minimize technical incidents on machines in production.
• Operational and procedural improvements for the machinery fleet, such as obsolescence, retrofits, etc.

What we are looking for

Requirements

• Education: Technical Engineering in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as an electronic technician (software and electrotechnics).
• Experience in machinery within the flexible packaging sector is a plus.
• Skills in remote diagnostics and industrial connections.
• Knowledge: Programming in Bosch, Rexroth, Siemens (sinamics), and Omron environments. Interpretation of electrical diagrams.Knowledge of databases (SQL). Structured programming. Robotics (Fanuc). Other programming languages for PLC and Backend are a plus. Frequency inverter environments (Parker, Sinamics, Rexroth). Remote VPN connectivity.
• Languages: Advanced English (Spanish is a plus).
• Availability to travel frequently (nationally and internationally).
