We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker/ Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling a variety of sandwiches to meet customer orders while ensuring quality and food safety standards are maintained. Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Utilize basic math skills to accurately measure ingredients and manage portion sizes.
- Engage with customers to provide recommendations and upsell menu items effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
- Adhere to time management practices to ensure timely preparation of orders.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, kitchen, or grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for managing ingredient quantities and sales transactions.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Ability to engage in upselling techniques and provide excellent customer service.
- A passion for food preparation and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
