Role Purpose: Acacium Group currently require a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure team managing and maintaining our IT platforms. The chosen candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience providing 3rd line support or a Senior Infrastructure role. The candidate will be expected to Monitor, Maintain and Support all Systems, Servers, Storage and Network Infrastructure and will be exposed to many different environments and support a variety of solutions Globally.
The candidate should have knowledge of all aspects of servers & resources, both physical and virtual and cloud based (Azure). Ability to 'hit the ground running and work with minimum supervision is a must. The candidate will also be tasked with leading various projects throughout the year evaluating solutions on a company wide scale and presenting to your line manager and the Group Head of Infrastructure & Modern Workplace.
Job Responsibilities
- Undertake project work, recommending and implementing solutions. Working with the project management team to deliver projects to plan and within a suitable timeline.
- Act as a point of escalation for the Infrastructure Engineers to ensure a timely resolution of incidents.
- Maintain and support the infrastructure across 2 data centers, proactively preventing incidents.
- Manage and maintain the backup environment, conducting regular restores to validate backups and baseline restore timings to support BCP/DR planning.
- Working with the wider cloud team, plan a migration approach, logic and schedule determining which applications and platforms should stay on-prem, which should migrate to Private Clouds & which should be hosted in Public Clouds. Collaborate with the team to implement the migration in line with the agreed approach, project scope, schedule and costings.
- Ensuring all processes are documented and regularly updated. Schedule of updates to be agreed with Inf Ops Manager. Ensuring policies are put in place for any work implemented.
- Ensure changes to infrastructure are appropriately planned, documented and executed using an approved change control process, making sure that relevant people are aware, backout plans are documented/tested and post implementation reviews are completed.
- Monitor and maintain all patch levels and ensure all zero-day alerts are actioned within 14 days of release.
- Working with both our network and Information Security teams to ensure Acacium’s Azure network, SIEM, IDP, AV are in place, fit for purpose, scale and enable Technology growth.
- Assist DevOps Cloud engineers to ensure best practice architecture and design form the basis of any new development.
- Working with all T&T teams to ensure the appropriate level of monitoring/alerting is in place with detailed documentation to remediate when triggered, creating or updating RACI matrixes for support.
- Driving operational efficiencies, with an aim to deliver and maintain a reliable, secure and performant experience to customers
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Infrastructure\Server Support
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- A highly motivated and enthusiastic team member.
- Well organized, and familiar with Project Management Methodologies
- Experience in the Recruitment/Staffing sector is desirable but not essential.

- Strong knowledge in Azure security architecture and best practice, Defender for Cloud
- Strong knowledge of Data Analysis & Reporting solutions
- Microsoft Cloud certifications: AZ-104, AZ-140, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-500
