Job Summary

This role is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Palo Alto Networks firewalls to safeguard the network infrastructure from all security threats. Provide expertise in security infrastructure and network related issues. You will work closely with IT and Security teams to enforce network policies, troubleshoot firewall issues, and monitor traffic for potential risks.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain firewall rules, monitor network traffic, and ensure the security and performance of firewall systems.
• Implement and maintain firewall configurations and troubleshoot firewall routing rules and policies.
• Analyze security requirements and apply changes to perimeter security systems
• Serve as a subject matter expert to assist internal teams and customers in resolving firewall and network-related issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as device reboots, system updates, and performance tuning of perimeter security devices.
• Diagnose and resolve network performance issues; conduct traffic analysis to identify anomalies or threats.
• Monitor, configure, and optimize Firewall/DMZ infrastructure, including both Network and Application-level Firewall Packet Filtering technologies.
• Assist in developing documentation of security infrastructure.
• Assist with installing software, applying patches, managing file systems, and monitoring performance of Firewall systems.
• Perform data backups and restoration of managed systems.
• Assist in the certification and accreditation process for managed systems and networks.
• Maintain daily logs for managed systems and report on unusual activity.

Experience

• Proven experience with Palo Alto firewall platform and enterprise security tools
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewall routing policies, and packet inspection
• Experience troubleshooting complex network and firewall issues across various environments
• Familiarity with Zero-Trust technologies and log analysis.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Industry certifications such as Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent preferred
• Experience with firewall and Zero-Trust platforms such as Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Check Point, and Cloudflare
• Understanding of Zero-Trust architecture, VPN configurations, and secure remote access best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
