Job Summary
The DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the automation, deployment, and monitoring infrastructure that supports client environments and internal operations. This role bridges development and operations by improving system reliability, deployment frequency, and efficiency through infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability practices. The DevOps Engineer works closely with system engineers, software developers, and client IT teams to ensure smooth delivery and operation of managed services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for client and internal projects to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Collaborate with software engineering and systems teams to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
  • Manage and maintain containerized applications using Docker, AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS), and Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
  • Deploy, monitor, and manage infrastructure and applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, ensuring security, scalability, and high availability.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems using AWS-native and third-party tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Support version control workflows and environment configurations to ensure consistent releases and rollback capability.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency across systems and operations using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement for infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Document processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures to support operational continuity and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related technical roles.
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, CloudFormation, and IAM.
  • Proficiency with containerization technologies including Docker, ECS, and EKS.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  • Scripting and automation experience in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, load balancing, and security best practices in cloud environments.

Preferred:

  • Full stack experience (front-end and back-end) that complements DevOps and cloud automation responsibilities.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
  • Experience with security automation, compliance frameworks, or SOC2/ISO environments.
  • Familiarity with secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault) and CI/CD security integration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
