IT Procurement Specialist

The IT Procurement Specialist is a key contributor to the organization's internal operations and plays a critical role in ensuring its efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves managing various administrative, logistical, and process-related tasks to support the daily functioning of the organization. This role is specifically focused on ensuring Solve IT maintains excellent service standards and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Sales, Service and Operations teams to ensure a timely response to all support tickets and client requests.
  • Strictly adhere to Service Desk/Sales procedures, guidelines, and policies.
  • Consistently and correctly utilize service desk software to record, track and document client IT information and equipment/license requests.
  • Communicate status of equipment availability to all technical staff as well as Account Executives.
  • Maintain an understanding of equipment backorders and obtain an alternative source.
  • Support Inside Sales by prioritizing and executing pricing, quoting, and tracking of equipment and parts.
  • Work with the Sales team and vendors to process bid registrations.
  • Understand the basic foundation for all software used to run the business including but not limited to QuickBooks, Quoting, Professional Services Automation (PSA).
  • Provide information for customer proposals and presentations.

Daily Tasks will include:

  • Quoting hardware, software and licensing.
  • Shipping, receiving, and tracking of equipment and parts.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and fulfill technician requests.
  • Creating invoices and purchase orders for vendors and suppliers.
  • Register sales opportunities with our vendors.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn new tools and processes.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to talk with clients over the phone and respond and update customers via email.
  • Basic understanding of desktop computer components.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Project management and/or coordination experience is preferred.
  • IT experience or education is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
