Job Overview
Position is located in Cedar Falls, IA
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Programmer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development and web development, with expertise in various programming languages and frameworks. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, development, maintenance, and support of agency web applications, websites, and content management systems. Provide technical assistance to staff in creating and managing website content, ensuring accessibility, usability, and security.
Qualifications
- Minimum Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
- Working knowledge of server-side technologies such as Node.js, PHP, or Ruby on Rails.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON.
- Experience with version control systems (Git/GitHub or GitLab).
- Familiarity with responsive and accessible design standards (WCAG/ADA).
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and testing practices.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a growth mindset.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Performance Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of agency websites and web applications.
- Write, test, and troubleshoot clean, efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side scripting languages.
- Assist in integrating databases, APIs, and third-party tools into web projects.
- Ensure websites and applications are accessible, responsive, and optimized for performance across devices and browsers.
- Monitor and apply industry best practices in security, accessibility, and data privacy.
- Collaborate with senior developer, graphic designers, and communications staff to deliver projects on time
- Stay current with emerging web technologies, frameworks, and design practices and share insights with the team.
- Provide internal technical support to staff in managing content management systems (CMS).
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment dedicated to customer service both internally and externally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
