Senior Systems Engineer
Description
The Systems Engineer’s role is to design, implement, and optimize complex IT systems and infrastructure to support the organization’s strategic goals. This individual leads the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems by integrating hardware, software, and network components. The Systems Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that systems meet business requirements and industry best practices.

Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Lead capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for enterprise systems and infrastructure.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with organizational objectives.
Develop and maintain architectural documentation and system roadmaps.
Acquisition & Deployment
Architect and implement enterprise-grade systems, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.
Collaborate with network engineering, application development, and cybersecurity teams to ensure cohesive system integration.
Define and enforce standards for system provisioning, configuration, and deployment automation.
Operational Management
Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and scalability.
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex system issues.
Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and disaster recovery protocols.
Mentor systems administrators and provide technical leadership on infrastructure projects.
Position Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
10 years experience in information technology role.
Preferred Experience
Windows Servers, M365, Entra, SANs.
Windows 10/11
Citrix, VDI
Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including [firewalls, Active Directory…].
Strong knowledge of local area network administration.
Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
Experience with data management.
Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Strong documentation skills.
Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.

Work Conditions
40-hour on-site work week with on-call availability
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
