Job Duties: Partner with data scientists, engineers, and business partners to build and deliver digital solutions. Develop data science models and ensure real-world operationalization. Responsible for the design, development, programming methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for businesses across the company. Manage the data lifecycle including ingestion, contextualization, feature engineering, and operationalization for large volumes of structured and unstructured data for analytics and insights. Develop software programs, algorithms and automated processes that cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large data sets from multiple disparate sources. Identify meaningful, actionable insights from large data and metadata sources, and communicate to stakeholders. Maintain accountability for model recommendations throughout the entire lifecycle of product development, implementation, and adoption to drive business impact.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Position requires experience with:
1. Performing Extract, Load and Transform (ETL) using SQL and Python to understand and join massive disparate data sources;
2. Applying Data Cleaning and Feature Engineering techniques to transform data ready to be used for analysis;
3. Developing machine learning techniques, such as regression, decision trees, probability networks, association rules, clustering, neural networks and Bayesian models, as well as skills in text mining and data visualization using Python or R;
4. Translating analytical models into succinct, clear recommendations for the business stakeholders through dashboards, presentations, and other mediums;
5. Cloud computing platform (AWS, snowflake etc.) to operationalize machine learning models; and
6. Utilizing Git and Bitbucket for version control and implementing continuous integration and development pipelines.
