Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT/Network Technician to support our business customers. The ideal candidate will have strong customer relation skills with a good background in computer networking, IT troubleshooting, computer repair, and network wiring installation. The candidate should know how to use common tools such as power drills, saws and voltage meters. The best candidate will know how to work as part of a team as well as work individually with limited supervision. This is a hands-on job that will include traveling in the local area and sometimes out of the area to perform tasks at job sites and customer locations as well a some shop work.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support network hardware including structured wiring, security cameras, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WANs and connected network devices to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Install and manage network security protocols, software and hardware.
• Conduct system administration tasks on operating systems including Windows Server, and Windows 10/11.
• Document work completion and file customer invoices.
• Document network mapping.
• Perform regular maintenance of network infrastructure and devices such as workstations, servers and printers.
• Always perform work in a courteous and safe manner.

Skills

• Hands-on experience with routers/switches of various manufacture.
• Familiarity with operating systems including Windows Server environments and Windows 10/11.
• Knowledge of PC components and how to install them.
• Knowledge of telecommunication systems like VoIP
• Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, FTP/HTTPS protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills in troubleshooting complex network issues; ability to work safely under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively safely use power tools, equipment and ladders in a construction environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
