We are seeking a pioneering and skilled AI Developer to be the founding AI talent within our accounting firm. You will be responsible for end-to-end development, from ideation to deployment, of custom Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions designed to optimize our financial processes, automate data reconciliation, and enhance risk analysis. This role is for a builder who can translate complex data challenges into reliable, automated systems.
Responsibilities
- Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement custom AI/ML models and applications to solve specific business problems related to data extraction, fraud detection, document processing, and predictive modeling in finance.
- Data Preparation: Work with large, complex financial datasets, ensuring data quality, performing necessary feature engineering, and preparing data for model training.
- System Integration: Integrate developed models into our existing cloud infrastructure and internal applications, ensuring the solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
- Optimization & Deployment: Manage the full lifecycle of AI models, including training, testing, tuning hyperparameters, and deploying models to production environments.
- Technology Leadership: Research and recommend the appropriate frameworks, programming languages, and cloud services required to build and support our AI strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a quantitative software development or data science role focused on building and deploying data-intensive systems.
- Strong core programming expertise with the proven ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in a language used for data science and AI (e.g., Python, R, or C#).
- Solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, and machine learning principles (e.g., understanding of regression, classification, clustering, and neural networks).
- Demonstrated experience handling and analyzing large, structured, and unstructured datasets.
- Ability to work independently, manage the technical aspects of a project, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) for document analysis, or Time-Series Analysis for predictive financial modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for data storage and deployment.
- Knowledge of modern MLOps practices, containerization (Docker), and version control (Git).
- A background or strong interest in finance, accounting, or economic data.
