Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Scientist with proficiency in Python and experience working with MySQL, PhpMyAdmin, and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in mapping our undocumented databases, uncovering and analyzing existing data points, and managing data export requests from our partners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to data-driven decision-making processes within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
● Database Mapping & Documentation
○ Analyze and map out existing undocumented databases to create comprehensive documentation.
○ Identify relationships, dependencies, and data flows within and across databases.
● Data Exploration & Analysis
○ Explore and assess available data points to determine their relevance and potential uses.
○ Conduct data profiling to understand data quality, integrity, and consistency.
● Data Processing & Management
○ Handle data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes as needed.
○ Ensure efficient and secure handling of data export requests from partners.
● Collaboration & Support
○ Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
○ Support partners with data-related queries and ensure timely fulfillment of their requests.
● Continuous Improvement
○ Identify opportunities to improve database structures, data processes, and data quality.
○ Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data science and database management. Qualifications Education & Experience
● Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data scientist role or similar position.
● Understanding of data privacy and security best practices. Technical Skills
● Proficiency in Python for data analysis and scripting.
● Strong experience with SQL, MySQL, PhpMyAdmin, and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
● Familiarity with SQL querying and database management.
● Understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling. Analytical Skills
● Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
● Ability to analyze complex datasets and derive meaningful insights. Communication Skills
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to effectively document databases and processes.
● Capability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Total compensation package: Up to $120,000.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
