Systems Administrator

Location: Maintco Corp – 20 W Burbank Blvd, Burbank, CA 92201
Reports To: VP of Operations
Travel: Primarily Burbank (80%) with periodic travel to Westcon satellite office in Indio (20%)

About the Role

Maintco Corp is seeking a dynamic Systems Administrator who is both a problem-solver and a builder. This role will be responsible for maintaining and securing our IT systems, managing service tickets, and leading initiatives in automation, collaboration platforms, and AI adoption. Key Responsibilities

  • IT Support & Systems Administration
    • Manage and resolve internal IT service tickets with speed and professionalism.
    • Administer Microsoft environments, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise (online), Buildertrend, and Service Fusion.
    • Manage and secure remote servers for Microsoft and QuickBooks.
    • Ensure system security, backups, and performance monitoring.
  • SharePoint & Collaboration
    • Serve as the in-house SharePoint expert, leading implementation, customization, and ongoing optimization.
    • Build sites, document libraries, workflows, and integrations to improve cross-team collaboration.
    • Train and support staff in effective SharePoint usage.
  • AI & Automation
    • Drive adoption of AI productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, across the organization.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows with automation and AI-assisted solutions.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend relevant tools for business efficiency.
  • Projects & Innovation
    • Participate in and lead system/automation projects.
    • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and implement new technologies that support business growth.
    • Document and communicate IT standards, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
    • 5+ years of systems administration or IT support experience, ideally in small-to-mid-sized businesses.
  • Technical Skills
    • Expert-level SharePoint implementation and administration.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems and environments.
    • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise (online), Buildertrend, and Service Fusion.
    • Skilled in managing servers, networking, security, and backups.
    • Familiarity with scripting, automation, and system integrations.
    • Advanced user of AI productivity tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) with proven implementation experience.

Work Environment

  • Based primarily in Burbank (80%) with travel to Indio (20%).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary: $100,000 – $130,000/year (depending on experience).
