Job description

Independently architect a durable data model critical for downstream logic and pipelines. This role requires strong experience in developing application layers through the extraction, data validation, transformation, and loading workflows (ETL) of raw data from various sources; and, shaped into a consistent format to load the data into a central repository (data warehouse) for complex statistical analysis, modeling, and financial analysis. Responsible for end-to-end design, implementation, and outputs.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Architect a formal centralized medical, behavioral, dental, and prescription drug claims repository and analysis tool, and review database applications or systems needed to stand up advanced analytics.
  • Develop the DB and application layer to analyze and ask questions about the data to run logic against the data. The application layer needs logic to identify fraud, waste, abuse, low-cost high-quality providers, outliers of high ordering of therapies and high distribution of medications, etc.
  • Ability to layer on latest data analysis technology to assist with questions we have not considered thus identifying additional opportunities.
  • Work within a platform perspective where raw claims data is preserved as received, then transformed into clean structured datasets that support analysis and automated decision logic.
  • Design and automate data infrastructure to improve reporting accuracy, streamline workflows, and integrate operational data across partners and systems.
  • Produce analytical reports and data visualization dashboards that consolidate and visualize complex data, strengthening operational transparency, performance monitoring, and audit claims in real-time as well as preparing data for external audit readiness.
  • Work collaboratively with in-house programmers and tools already in place.
  • Ability to apply data scientist and business thinking to the analysis to demonstrate value.
  • Ability to develop and support data exchanges using interface tools.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science in STEM fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or a related quantitative field
  • Preferred Master of Science in Computer science, statistics, data science, or business analytics
  • Strong technical skills (Python, R, SQL, ML, and Stats)
  • Knowledge of Excel, Databricks, Firebase, Tableau, Power BI, PySpark, Hadoop, and Jupyter
  • Preferred experience with data exchanges using standardized formats like HL7 and FHIR and platforms like Mirth or Neotools
  • Proven experience (2+ years)
  • Creative problem solver
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven
  • Ability to interact with other departments and communicate with outside vendors regarding discrepancies.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
