What You’ll Do
As the Database Manager, you’ll take ownership of maintaining, optimizing, and safeguarding the organization’s database systems. You’ll ensure seamless access to critical information while providing tools and insights that empower staff and support members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day management of MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions to ensure high availability, strong performance, and top-tier security
- Developing a strong understanding of organizational structure, policies, and business practices
- Maintaining and updating membership databases, including invoicing, payment processing, event registrations, and committee lists
- Building and delivering ad-hoc reports for staff, leadership, and stakeholders
- Training staff on database functionality and best practices
- Creating and coordinating presentations and reporting as needed
- Assisting with general operational duties to support smooth business operations
- Leading efforts in performance tuning, scripting, and process improvement initiatives
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Associate degree + relevant experience will be considered)
- Experience in a professional services, trade association, or membership-based organization
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Hands-on experience with membership database platforms (ChamberMaster is a plus!)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Understanding of billing and collections processes is a bonus
- A willingness to learn, grow, and improve systems to support the team and mission
