Cataler North America, a Toyota affiliate, is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. This position is located at our automotive catalyst facility in Lincolnton, NC. This position participates in an after-hours on-call rotation. On-call premium is provided.

Position hours: 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Manage, optimize, and secure our IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Configure, monitor, and test data recovery systems.

Recommend and deploy new technical solutions, products, or standards that support the IT department’s operations and goals.

Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows, Linux, and cloud systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Configure and deploy virtual servers while ensuring efficient use of hypervisor resources.

Develop documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.

Resolve end user issues by utilizing a helpdesk ticketing system.

Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.

Maintain and deploy switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Windows workstation and server operating systems.

Understanding of virtualization technologies. Microsoft Hyper-V experience is preferred.

Working knowledge of networking concepts such as VLAN, TCP/UDP, Layer 2 routing, and more.

Working knowledge of IT security concepts such as patching, system hardening, antivirus, antimalware, and more.

Understanding of data backup and recovery technologies.

Working knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID.

Willingness to learn new technologies and promote continuous improvement.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and electronically to various levels of staff with various levels of technological experience.
