We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to join our team.
About the Role:
We’re seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to design, operate, and secure our hybrid infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role combines hands-on systems administration, DevOps automation, cloud operations, and cybersecurity practices to ensure our systems are scalable, resilient, and automation-driven.
You’ll collaborate with software engineers, DBAs, and cross-functional IT stakeholders to build a reliable infrastructure that supports innovative automotive diagnostic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Linux and Windows servers, including patching, backups, and user access.
- Provision, manage, and monitor AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for development and production.
- Deploy and operate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement security controls (IAM, MFA, firewalls, endpoint protection) and perform periodic vulnerability assessments.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools like Terraform and Ansible (preferred).
- Support database operations (SQL Server, PostgreSQL), including performance tuning and backups.
- Monitor system performance and availability using observability tools such as Grafana and CloudWatch.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
- Document infrastructure designs, procedures, and runbooks.
Required Qualifications:
- 10–15 years of experience in System Administration, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong background in Linux and/or Windows server environments.
- Hands-on experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Octopus Deploy, or AWS CodePipeline).
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Experience with Docker and foundational Kubernetes operations.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
- Practical knowledge of AWS cloud services.
- Familiar with security best practices, IAM, MFA, and vulnerability management.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and collaborative mindset.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
- Advanced Kubernetes experience (Helm, service mesh, scaling).
- Proficiency with security tools (EDR, SIEM, WAF).
- Knowledge of high-availability, clustering, or disaster recovery architectures.
- Advanced database administration skills.
- Cloud or security certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, CISSP, etc.).
- Familiarity with automotive systems or automotive diagnostics.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
