Job description

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Software Engineer II to perform complex design, coding and testing of software modules. As the Software Engineer Il you will be responsible for developmental and/or test work which requires a comprehensive knowledge of software engineering practices. Using Software Requirements Specifications as input, you will create Software Design Documents, code and verify software module(s). You will also participate in reviews of the Software Requirements Specifications used as input.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Under the direction of a Lead Software Engineer, designing software system modules and documenting the design in a Software Design Document.
  • Coding of complex software modules with minimal supervision by a Lead or Senior Software Engineer.
  • An in-depth understanding of : The operating system (if applicable) used for the software systems; encapsulation, variable and method scope.
  • Debugging tools and techniques.
  • Development of Verification and Validation Protocols.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of software design and the development process. Able to work independently on smaller software systems.

Skills and Competencies

An in-depth understanding of:

  • The operating system (if applicable) used for the software system
  • Encapsulation, variable and method scope o Debugging tools and techniques

Education

  • B.S. degree in Engineering

Experience

  • 2 - 4 years of related experience
  • C# and .NET Framework
  • The ability to read, write and parse XML for configuration and date exchange
  • Medical Device experience preferred.
