Job Overview (only accepting local candidates to work onsite)
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager / Help Desk Manager to lead our internal IT operations and ensure a smooth, reliable technology environment for our employees. This role oversees day-to-day IT support, manages the help desk team, and provides leadership for system administrators and potentially DevOps staff (if not under engineering). The IT Manager will establish and uphold service standards, drive operational excellence, and ensure technology systems support our fast-paced business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage IT Support Operations: Lead daily help desk activities, ensuring efficient response and resolution of IT issues.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor help desk staff and vendors, system administrators and users.
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Define, monitor, and enforce SLAs to ensure IT support tickets are resolved within agreed timeframes.
  • Systems Management: Manage system administration, endpoint management, and IT infrastructure monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Devops, and other departments to ensure alignment and support of company-wide technology initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices, workflows, and escalation procedures to optimize IT operations.
  • Vendor & Tool Management: Manage IT vendors, software licensing, and hardware procurement.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Track help desk performance, ticket trends, and system health to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 2+ years in a leadership role managing IT support/help desk teams.
  • Strong knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) best practices and ticketing systems.
  • Experience with system administration (Windows, macOS, SaaS tools, networking).
  • Familiarity with DevOps or cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $107,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
