Hire Desk Controller 

Location: Bolton

Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: £32,000

I am currently working with a Powered Access hire company based in Bolton that is looking to appoint a Hire Desk Controller to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hire Desk Controller who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handling incoming hire enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and efficient manner

- Processing hire orders accurately, ensuring all details are correct

- Coordinating deliveries and collections with customers, drivers, and depot teams

- Liaising with the workshop to confirm equipment availability and manage turnaround times

- Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries, providing clear and knowledgeable support

- Maintaining accurate records and supporting the day-to-day administration of the hire desk

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Hire Desk Controller within the Powered Access industry

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

- Confident using hire systems and standard computer software

- Calm under pressure with a proactive and solution-focused approach
