Job description

We are seeking a skilled and team-focused individual to fill a full-time Systems Administrator – Network and End User role in our Melrose, MN location. This individual will support our organization’s network infrastructure and end‑user environment. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable systems, providing high‑quality technical support, and ensuring the security and performance of our IT operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise paired with excellent communication and service delivery skills. This role supports team members in our five locations, therefore, occasional travel to our other locations in Plainview, MN, Glencoe, MN, Sparta, WI, and Menomonie, WI, is required.

This individual spends the majority of their workdays on-site in Melrose, MN but has some flexibility for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, implement, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and software defined networking equipment.

· Monitor the network to ensure availability to all systems by all users/customers and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.

· Cooperate with other departments, where necessary, on tasks, support, or projects. Understands the impact of network solutions on business operations and balances the scope, security, and quality of technology solutions with business’ needs.

· Serve as member of the IT network and support teams, working in conjunction with other IT and business managers and technicians to support the goals of the company.

· Manage, develop and document user onboarding/offboarding processes.

· Create and update IT Documentation.

· Manage Hardware inventories & lifecycle replacements.

· Manage user accounts in MS365 and other services.

· Deliver advanced technical support for employees.

· Provide suggestions on areas for improvement and best practices.

· Administer, support, and maintain cyber security systems including firewalls, email and web filtering, data loss prevention, and related systems.

· Configure, manage, and maintain the building security system.

· Assist in managing vendor relationships.

· Able to rapidly absorb and apply new technical information.

· Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to do the same.

· Must have strong interpersonal skills - ability to involve and engage end users – internal and external customer oriented.

· Occasional travel to other locations is required.

· Occasional emergency support and troubleshooting outside of normal works hours required.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

· 4-year degree in Computer Science or related area

· OR Minimum 5 years of experience in various computer-related environments

Schedule: Full-Time; Monday - Friday; Majority of workdays on-site in Melrose but some flexibility for remote work.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
