Job description

A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a new IT Software Sourcing Manager for an exciting opportunity leading strategic sourcing initiatives.

About the Opportunity:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8:30am to 5pm
  • Setting: Hybrid (2 days onsite)

Responsibilities:

  • Own the IT Software category strategy, defining multi-year roadmaps that align with enterprise IT, Finance, and operational goals
  • Lead annual and long-range sourcing plans, ensuring the IT Software portfolio supports business growth, innovation, and efficiency
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to shape policy, governance, and sourcing priorities across software spend areas
  • Lead and oversee complex, high-value IT software sourcing projects across the full strategic sourcing lifecycle
  • Guide teams through RFx planning, supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting to achieve optimal commercial and operational outcomes
  • Serve as the executive relationship owner for key strategic software vendors
  • Direct and support complex software and cloud negotiations, including Master Framework Agreements, Software License Agreements (EA, SaaS), and Maintenance & Support Agreements
  • Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure contracts deliver business value, compliance, and sustainable commercial terms
  • Provide financial modeling and business case support for major technology investments and renewals
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate sourcing and vendor risks in accordance with institutional policy and industry best practices
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of progressive Strategic Sourcing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience focusing on IT Software or Cloud Services
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (direct or matrix) in Category Management, Sourcing Execution, or Procurement Transformation
  • Expertise in software licensing, SaaS, cloud cost optimization (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and supplier governance
  • Strong financial acumen and proficiency in TCO Modeling, Financial Analysis, and Procurement Analytics tools
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement systems (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent)
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.), or equivalent certification
  • Experience sourcing Clinical or Healthcare IT software
  • Familiarity with Cloud Cost Management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Console)
