Job description
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Data Scientist with 2 years of experience to join our growing team in Plano, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis, with the ability to convert complex data into actionable insights that support strategic business decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data-driven solutions to real-world business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from multiple internal and external sources.
- Design and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and optimize performance.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and engineers to understand business needs and deliver end-to-end data science solutions.
- Develop data pipelines and contribute to scalable solutions for data integration and model deployment.
- Create dashboards and reports to visualize model outcomes and business KPIs using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Monitor model performance, conduct validation, and perform periodic updates and retraining as required.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 2 years of hands-on experience in data science, applied machine learning, or advanced analytics.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, modeling, and scripting.
- Strong command of SQL for querying and manipulating data across relational databases.
- Experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and model evaluation metrics.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or visualization libraries in Python.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and distributed computing tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $87,000.00 - $117,000.00 per year
