Overview: We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT Department. The ideal candidate is not only motivated and eager to enhance their technological skills on a global platform but also analytical, self-sufficient, and capable of performing well under pressure.
About the Role: This individual will be responsible for safeguarding our critical systems and assets, developing and implementing innovative solutions, and integrating new software and hardware. They must possess exceptional troubleshooting skills to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Additionally, they will provide comprehensive training to staff and contribute to the development of our overall IT strategy. From the outset, the Systems Administrator will drive breakthrough innovations, tackle challenging assignments, lead key initiatives, and be accountable for delivering results.
Objectives of this role
· Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including Windows/Linux network/desktop operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
· Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
· Handle mission-critical IT tasks and systems, that support secure and accurate Tribal operations.
· Enable faster and smarter business processes, and develop analytics for meaningful insights.
· Work with internal and external partners to communicate project status, activities, and achievements.
Responsibilities
· Perform Windows server administration tasks (ex: Active Directory/Azure administration, user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); manage and administer Fortigate firewall, Barracuda spam filter, Datto Storage devices, and various models of routers and switches. Research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.
· Monitor data-center health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.
· Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
· Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
· Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
· Ensure all network devices are secure and comply with NIST security framework.
Required skills and qualifications
· Proven success in an IT role.
· Experience with or knowledge of programming languages, PowerShell CLI and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and cache.
· Experience in project management, application integration, and cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure).
· Expertise in analyzing and repairing large-scale distributed systems; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication.
Preferred skills and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in information technology or computer science.
· Equivalent experience: 4+ years hands-on experience in system administrator role (current within last five years)
· Knowledge of Windows and Unix systems administration.
· Professional certification: CompTia A+, Network+ or Security+, Cisco CCNA, CCIE; Microsoft MCSE.
· Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
· Ability to climb ladders up to 10 feet.
· Standing for long periods.

Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
