Job Description:

Maymead Inc. is seeking a highly skilled IT/Systems Administrator to join our team and oversee both the hardware and software systems that support our operations. This is a full-time, in-person position with local travel required. As an executive-level position, the role will involve both hands-on work and team leadership, while also requiring the ability to work independently as a self-starter.

The ideal candidate will be capable of managing complex IT systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and effectively communicating technical information to non-technical staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • System & Network Administration: Manage, maintain, and optimize both hardware and software systems within the organization.
  • Upgrade Deployment: Research, test, and assist in the deployment of system upgrades and releases, adhering to documented change management procedures.
  • Performance Monitoring: Understand and interpret performance measures, goals, and objectives for software applications and how they align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Data Integration & Validation: Monitor and maintain data integrations with source systems to ensure the accurate and timely processing of data. Understand and manage data validation routines and the business impact of data exceptions or delays.
  • System Enhancements: Analyze, evaluate, and recommend system changes and configurations based on business requirements.
  • Project Leadership: Lead project efforts or independently support project work to improve systems and processes.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, ensuring server availability, reliability, and efficiency. Continuously optimize performance and manage hardware upgrades and resource usage.
  • Gather, Interpret, and Report System Performance Issues: Identify, gather, and interpret system performance issues, then report them to vendors, relevant business units, and management to ensure timely resolution.
  • Backup & Recovery: Oversee data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues as they arise. Provide technical support and training to internal staff on various systems and applications.
  • Vendor Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with software vendors to resolve any system-related issues.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience with Eclipse, Libra, Fleet Watcher, SiteDocs, and CCH is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry is beneficial.
  • ERP system implementation experience is highly desired.
  • Some knowledge of accounting practices is a plus.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of database management and SQL.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving both hardware and software issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with software vendors and cross-departmental teams.
  • Strong Excel & Word knowledge is essential.

Compensation:

  • Salary: Starting at $90,000+ per year (commensurate with experience).
