Our established international instrumentation company, headquartered in Solon, OH, is seeking a highly skilled and proactive IoT Developer to join our Engineering Department. The position combines IoT infrastructure development with mobile and web application design, making it ideal for a versatile and motivated professional.

Role Overview

As an IoT Developer, you will design, implement, and maintain IoT ecosystems and web applications that support new product development and optimize existing product lines. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability across our IoT platforms. Success in this position requires creativity, analytical problem-solving, project management expertise, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Application Development

• Develop cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart for multi-tenant environments.
• Integrate mobile applications with IoT devices and backend services.

IoT Infrastructure Design & Administration

• Architect and maintain robust IoT ecosystems with secure device connectivity and real-time monitoring.
• Implement secure communication protocols and manage firmware updates.

Cloud & Server-Side Development

• Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, Lambda, IoT Core, IAM, etc.).
• Develop server-side code to support APIs, data processing, and business logic.

Security Management

• Ensure end-to-end security of IoT infrastructure through encryption and authentication.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and maintain compliance standards.

Data Analytics

• Utilize AWS RDS and Timestream for time-series and relational data management.
• Perform analytics to derive actionable insights from IoT data streams.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS Cloud Services (IoT and cloud deployment).
• At least 2 years in mobile app development using Flutter and Dart.
• Proficiency in AWS RDS and Timestream databases (2+ years).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C programming for embedded systems (preferred, 1 year).
• Experience with Python for scripting and analytics (preferred, 1 year).
• Familiarity with Git version control (preferred).
• Competency in Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, and network troubleshooting.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in ISO 9001 environments and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
• Strong foundation in software engineering, IoT, and IT-related functions.
• Background in big data analysis and/or firmware engineering.
• Highly motivated, adaptable, and quality-focused professional.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or a related field preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,569.90 - $114,666.50 per year
