Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Database Developer / DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in data reporting, database development, and cloud infrastructure. This role requires expertise in SQL Server development, Snowflake, and AWS, as well as experience with Power BI and Amazon QuickSight for developing live and customer-facing reports. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of database fundamentals, data pipelines, and cloud-native data solutions, and can work cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, insightful data products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development & Database Administration:
• Maintain and optimize SQL Server and Snowflake databases.
• Write, debug, and tune complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Monitor and ensure the integrity, performance, and security of database systems.
• DevOps & Infrastructure:
• Manage cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) related to data and analytics workloads.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for data deployments and reporting artifacts.
• Automate database deployments, backups, monitoring, and scaling.
• Reporting & BI Development:
• Design and develop interactive, real-time dashboards and reports using Power BI and Amazon QuickSight.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver customer-facing and internal reporting solutions.
• Integrate disparate data sources to support consistent and accurate reporting.
• Data Architecture & Integration:
• Support data modeling efforts and ensure alignment with reporting needs.
• Build and maintain data pipelines to support ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake and AWS tools.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Database Developer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
• Expert-level SQL Server development skills.
• Strong experience with Snowflake (data modeling, optimization, and pipeline integration).
• Solid experience with AWS services, including QuickSight.
• Proficiency in building dashboards and reports with Power BI and/or Amazon QuickSight.
• Good understanding of data warehousing principles, performance tuning, and analytics best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a fundamental understanding of data and reporting systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
