FLX Digital: Full Stack Website Developer

POSITION SUMMARY:

FLX Digital is looking for a Web Developer who doesn’t just build websites—but strengthens and evolves our entire tech stack. In this role, you’ll help design, develop, and optimize systems that support performance, scalability, security, and long-term growth. You’ll work closely with the digital marketing director and project managers to turn concepts into fast, secure, and user-friendly sites that look great and function flawlessly. Your work will directly influence how fast we move, how well our systems perform, and how confidently we can grow.

Location: On-Site, ideally in the Finger Lakes Region
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.

· Customize themes and plugins to meet project requirements

· Build responsive, mobile-friendly layouts

· Ensure website performance, security, and scalability

· Optimize websites for SEO and page speed

· Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve WordPress issues

· Perform updates, backups, and ongoing maintenance

· Implement clean UI/UX

· Follow WordPress best practices and coding standards

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

· Proven experience developing with WordPress

· Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

· Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development

· Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg, etc.)

· Experience with MySQL and WordPress databases

· Understanding of website security and performance optimization

· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

· Experience with WooCommerce version control experience (git, etc)

· AI productivity tool experience (cursor, antigravity etc)

· familiar with common WordPress plugins like custom post types, advanced custom fields

· able to work with integrations/APIs

Nice To Have:

· GA4 experience

· Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console

· SEO experience
