Enigma Sciences is a young innovative startup working on developing novel AI models, in the interface of AI and biology. Our models are inspired by and aim to address complex problems that arise in natural systems.

Our work combines cutting edge AI design with state-of-the-art systems biology.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated, curious, science and technology-oriented software engineer/developer.

The Work

- You will build modules for training, running and testing custom built AI models.

- You will train and test proprietary and open-source models (LLMs and others).

- You will manage datasets and data libraries from different domains (visual, biological, textual).

- You will work with domain experts in different areas such as computer vision, chemistry, biology, and more.

- You will try to solve interesting, complex, high-value and high-impact problems.

- You will have fun!

Qualifications

- You want to create something new.

- Curiosity, imagination, creativity, diligence, motivation.

- Ability to work and create independently.

- Strong academic background in a scientific/technical discipline.

- Programming skills and experience (Python an advantage).

- Strong quantitative skills.

Position Location: Remote, hybrid home-office, or full in office in San Francisco / Berkeley area.

Type and Term: Contract, 12 months, extendable.

Compensation: $50 - $70 / hr.

Equity opportunities may also be considered as part of your total compensation package.
