Location: Michigan (Richmond, Sandusky, Birch Run, CAPAC, Cass City) – Hybrid with travel

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on IT Manager to establish and lead our internal IT function. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for all information technology needs across the organization, including our dealership locations, offices, and warehouse facilities.

This is a one-person department role reporting directly to our leadership team—ideal for an experienced IT professional who thrives on independence, problem-solving, and wearing many hats. While some remote work is possible, the position requires regular travel to company sites across Michigan for on-site support, installations, and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Leadership & Management
  • Serve as the primary IT resource for all divisions of the organization.
  • Develop and maintain IT processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Manage IT operations with minimal oversight, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
  • Systems Administration
  • Manage and optimize Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Admin Console, etc.) across the organization.
  • Support and administer Microsoft Office Suite, SaaS platforms, and business applications (including ARI and Lightspeed).
  • Oversee user accounts, permissions, and security protocols. Help to develop and administer onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Infrastructure & Hardware Support
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade networks, internet connectivity, phone, and security systems.
  • Manage point-of-sale systems, printers, and other dealership/office hardware.
  • Install and configure new systems at multiple sites.
  • Security & Data Protection
  • Ensure reliable data backup, recovery, and security procedures.
  • Maintain firewalls, antivirus systems, and access controls.
  • Cross-Location Support
  • Provide IT support to facilities in: Richmond (dealership), Sandusky (dealership & office), Birch Run (dealership), CAPAC (warehouse), Cass City (warehouse & Offices)
  • Travel as required to address infrastructure and system need

Compensation
This salaried exempt position includes the following in addition to

  • $75,000 annual base starting salary
  • Opportunity to earn annual discretionary profit-sharing bonus
  • All standard company benefits outlined above.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in IT management or senior IT administration.
  • Strong expertise with Google Workspace administration (required).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ARI, Lightspeed, and similar SaaS tools.
  • Hands-on experience with network administration, hardware support, and IT security.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple IT responsibilities.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly between company sites.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience supporting multiple business units or multi-location organizations.
  • Familiarity with dealership or retail IT environments.
  • Experience with AI platforms such as Google Gemini, ChatGPT, or similar—using AI for productivity, automation, or IT support (a strong plus, but not required).
  • Ability to plan for future IT growth and scalability.
