Job description
SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing and executing onsite service and support needs for the business, vendors, and customers. This includes managing all aspects of technology support (such as workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor-specific hardware and software) while providing leadership to team members, coordinating technical workflows, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this role. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
· Oversee day-to-day activities of onsite technical support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
· Serve as the primary escalation point for complex hardware, software, or network issues.
· Coordinate and lead the deployment and maintenance of desktops, servers, routers, switches, and software systems.
· Ensure timely and thorough documentation of work performed and accurate time tracking by both self and team members.
· Monitor service delivery metrics to ensure alignment with service level expectations and identify opportunities for improvement.
· Facilitate knowledge sharing across the technical team and help develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
· Participate in planning and execution of IT-related projects, ensuring team alignment with goals and timelines.
· Conduct routine checks to ensure systems are secure, stable, and up to date.
· Actively contribute to and occasionally lead team and company meetings.
· Coordinate and participate in after-hours work (nights/weekends) as needed for service-affecting updates to minimize downtime during business hours.

· Superior knowledge and/or experience in the following technologies:
· Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems

· Smartphones/Mobile Devices -- iPhone/iPad
· Experience and/or certifications in the following technologies:
· Microsoft Active Directory
· Microsoft Exchange
· Microsoft Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services
Education and Experience
· Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT support or systems administration roles
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manager or supervisory capacity, with demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day technical operations and direct reports or junior staff
· Proven experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows environments, networks, servers, and end-user hardware
· Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, asset management, and documentation practices
· Experience coordinating vendor relationships and managing service requests or escalations is a plus

Working Conditions
· Work long hours as required (varies, may require some weekend days)
· Office/Plant environment
· All work will be onsite at our heavy industrial manufacturing facility. While most of your responsibilities will be within our office facility, there will be time spent on our shop floor. We provide all PPE as necessary.
