Linux Systems Administrator – Huntsville, AL
Annual Salary Range: $80,000-90,000

In-Depth Engineering Corporation seeks Linux Systems Admin to support our rapidly growing engineering work on Ground Missile Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
This is a permanent, full-time position and the work is performed on-site at our customer site in Huntsville, AL. Work schedule - Flex 4/10 Schedule or Flex 9/80 w/every other Friday off - or a straight 5/8.
Candidates for consideration must be a US citizen and must have an active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
Duties
The Linux System Admin maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
Setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
Interact with users and evaluate vendor products as well as make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinate installation and provide backup recovery.
Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline
Minimum of 2 years of experience with Systems Administration for Linux Operating Systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
Active U.S. DoD Secret Security clearance
Desired Skills
Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc.
Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS)
Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS)
Experience with scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
Candidate must demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
