Avalign Technologies is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our growing IT team. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise with strategic vision, providing you the opportunity to architect, develop, and enhance enterprise applications while mentoring a small team of developers. You’ll work closely with cross-functional business partners to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that advance Avalign’s mission and operational goals.
This position will be a remote work-from-home role with minimal travel required.

What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of 1–3 developers, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and promoting skill development.
- Design, build, test, and deploy both custom and third-party software solutions in alignment with SDLC best practices.
- Provide advanced (Level 2 & 3) application support including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs in close partnership with stakeholders.
- Manage team workload and project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Support strategic IT initiatives such as cloud migration, system integration, and application modernization.
- Contribute to technology evaluations and build-vs-buy decisions.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including system architecture and configuration standards.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and industry regulations.
- Escalate issues with clear resolution options when necessary.
- Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required for team collaboration or project execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 6+ years of full-stack application development experience.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership or mentorship role.
- Experience in regulated industries (medical device, pharma, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Proven experience designing scalable, enterprise-level systems.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft tech stack: .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework.
- Strong background in SQL Server and database architecture.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and enterprise integrations.
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Proficiency in reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and the full software development lifecycle.
- Solid testing skills across unit, integration, and regression testing.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Clear, effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
