UX Design Director - Lead UX/UI Designer

Location: New York City (Hybrid) - Three Days Per Week
Duration: 12 months (with potential extension) - 10/06/2025 - 10/04/2025

GenesisTMG is hiring a Lead UX/UI Designer on behalf of its New York City client to lead design strategy for a new Child Care Digital Hub. This platform will help families find child care options and support providers with resources and services.

We’re looking for a designer who can demonstrate proven expertise and a portfolio showcasing successful consumer-facing projects.

What You’ll Do

• Lead UX/UI strategy and create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and content strategists to deliver intuitive, user-centered designs.
• Conduct usability testing, analyze findings, and apply insights to improve the user journey.
• Ensure accessibility and seamless integration with development teams.
• Support launch, track performance, and iterate on new features for Version 2.0.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years in UX/UI or interaction design with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Figma and end-to-end design delivery.
• Expertise in usability, accessibility, and user-centered design.
• Experience working cross-functionally with developers and content teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field.
• Share certifications if available.
• Public sector or government project experience.
• Familiarity with design systems and accessibility standards desired.
