Job Summary
The Senior Security Analyst will play a key role in strengthening WGTech’s security posture and supporting the cybersecurity needs of our customers. This position requires a broad understanding of cybersecurity frameworks particularly NIST and CIS Critical Security Controls along with outstanding policy development and documentation skills.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, improving, and maintaining security controls; advising customers and internal teams; drafting high‑quality policies and procedures; and providing expert‑level guidance across compliance, risk, and security operations. This person will work closely with our security partners, internal engineering teams, and customer IT leadership to ensure that safeguards, processes, and operational practices meet or exceed industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments aligned to NIST and CIS frameworks, identifying gaps and recommending practical improvements.
- Develop, write, and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines that align with applicable frameworks and customer requirements.
- Support and enhance customers’ cybersecurity programs, including incident response planning, vulnerability management, risk assessments, and control implementation.
- Analyze alerts and escalations from security platforms and partners, providing guidance and remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, SOC/SIEM providers, and customer stakeholders to address security issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in customer meetings to communicate security findings, present recommendations, and assist with compliance initiatives.
- Maintain awareness of evolving cybersecurity threats, best practices, and regulatory updates.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, security analysis, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise with NIST frameworks and the CIS Critical Security Controls; able to interpret, apply, and map controls to real environments.
- Exceptional security policy and documentation writing skills: clear, concise, and technically accurate communication is essential.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audit preparation, or control validation.
- Hands‑on familiarity with SIEM tools, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and related security technologies.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity security, least privilege, MFA, logging, segmentation, and endpoint protection.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively across teams and with customers.
- Relevant certifications (Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, etc.) are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
