Job description
This is a remote position.
The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, software and hardware. Ensure that servers, networks, and IT systems run efficiently and securely, enabling smooth business operations and minimizing downtime.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain infrastructure reliability, manage user access, and implement solutions that align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the maintenance and security of company computer systems
- Respond to employee concerns to help employees use computer systems. Identify any problems in the system, anticipate potential issues and repair systems and software when necessary.
- Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly
- Monitor data health using existing management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed
- Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
- Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Solid knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning fundamentals.
- Strong Proficiency in Python, R.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to tell stories with data and deliver data-driven insights to a wide range of audiences.

Education and Experience:
- Certificate in A+, Network+ required
- Certificate in Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) required.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Confluence or Zoho Desk.
- Excellent knowledge of web base licensing, and windows licensing for cost and capabilities.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 25pounds occasionally.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
