Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Philadelphia team. This position will develop, test, and oversee the data infrastructure of Asylon’s DroneCore systems, including data ingestion, data pipelines, data catalogs, and model learning.
Due to the nature of the projects worked on in this position, applicants must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62. This includes U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees.
Primary duties include:
· Develop, test, and oversee data ingestion requirements, data pipelines, and data catalogs for data of different modalities, including videos, images, dense time-series data, and sparse metrics.
· Develop new models to perform prediction and classification tasks, as well as refine and specialize existing models.
· Spearhead the development of new data-driven, customer facing features.
· Analyze collected data and produce business insights to improve Asylon processes and products.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a Data Science role, with significant focus on real-time or streaming data.
· Background in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related field
· Data visualization
· Linux
· Large, distributed datasets
· Creating data pipelines and catalogs
· Image and video classification
Preferred Experience:
· Distributed systems
· Cloud computing platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS, etc)
· Kubernetes experience
· Experience with best practices in data governance, including security, ethics, and compliance.
· Leadership experience and experience building a data team
