Job description
This position is hybrid requiring an onsite presence at our Madison-WI Administrative Office.
- Participate in the continual development of software engineering related activities and the continual innovation of processes, programs, and services.
- Utilize Agile methodologies to manage the full life-cycle development of projects.
- Maintain software engineering patterns, practices, and guidelines to consistently and efficiently deliver high quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with Internet Services Leadership to provide alignment to the Internet Services team across all tracks, including operations, product management, user experience, quality assurance, development operations and engineering.
- Work with HR and senior management to select and retain highly engaged employees.
- Review and communicate performance standards and expectations of team members as often as necessary to ensure accountability and effective execution.
- Manage processes to ensure projects and enhancements deliver the expected functionality within project timelines.
- Guide the technical development of the Internet Services development team by ensuring proper coding methodologies are being used.
- Maintain an active understanding of current and upcoming software engineering technology and processes to ensure that we are providing a superior development experience.
- Consult and collaborate with digital product owners and business units on developing software solutions to meet business goals, solve problems or refine processes.
- 6-7 years software engineering experience required
- 2-3 years people leadership experience required
- Experience in web application development.
- Experience in large scale enterprise-wide projects preferred.
- Agile project management methodology experience is preferred.
