The AI Engineer I develops and supports production-ready AI and agentic systems. This role combines software engineering and applied AI, working within responsible AI and governance frameworks while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and optimize AI-powered applications and agent workflows
• Integrate AI systems with APIs, third-party tools, and internal services
• Implement prompt engineering and AI orchestration strategies
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve AI system performance
• Follow AI governance, documentation, and responsible AI standards
• Support deployment and operation of AI systems in production

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in AI, machine learning, or software engineering
• Strong Python skills; familiarity with Java and/or TypeScript
• Experience with LLM APIs, AI frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), Docker, and Git
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, or AI agent frameworks
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, or vector databases
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and microservices
• Exposure to AI safety, testing, or governance practices
