Job Description

Dhaka Technologies Limited is seeking a highly skilled Technology Data Architect to support a large-scale enterprise data modernization initiative for a valued client.

This role will lead the design and implementation strategy for a centralized data warehouse platform that consolidates departmental datasets through structured Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. The selected professional will develop a scalable architecture roadmap, deliver a proof of concept, and establish governance frameworks to enable secure, AI-ready, data-driven decision-making.

Position Overview

The Technology Data Architect will assess the current data ecosystem and define a future-state architecture capable of integrating multiple departmental data sources into a unified platform.

This role requires expertise in enterprise data modeling, ETL engineering, cloud and hybrid architectures, and governance frameworks. The architect will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Public Safety, Data Analytics, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and long-term scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Strategy & Architecture

• Assess current data architecture, platforms, and interdepartmental data flows.
• Design a secure and scalable target-state architecture (cloud, hybrid, or on-premises).
• Develop AI-ready architecture frameworks supporting Business Intelligence (BI) and Machine Learning (ML) initiatives.
• Define enterprise data models, metadata standards, and integration patterns.

ETL & Data Integration Framework

• Architect structured ETL pipelines to consolidate departmental datasets into a centralized data warehouse.
• Develop and deliver a proof of concept integrating at least two departments.
• Create a repeatable, step-by-step onboarding framework for integrating additional departments.
• Recommend appropriate tools, technologies, and implementation best practices.

Governance & Security Alignment

• Establish data governance standards and data lifecycle management processes.
• Integrate security and compliance considerations into architectural design.
• Define access control models and data classification standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Documentation

• Conduct structured interviews with data owners and custodians across departments.
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture solutions.
• Provide executive-ready architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
• Develop a phased implementation roadmap with clearly defined milestones.
• Deliver final architecture documentation and knowledge transfer sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience as a Data Architect or Technology Architect.
• Demonstrated expertise in ETL architecture design and enterprise data warehouse implementation.
• Strong experience with modern data platforms, including: Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), Data lakes and enterprise data warehouses, Hybrid data infrastructures
• Proven experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and system design capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as: AWS or Azure Data Architect certifications, TOGAF or enterprise architecture certifications, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
• Experience supporting public-sector or regulated environments.
• Demonstrated case studies of enterprise data warehouse implementation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.69 - $73.09 per hour
