Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong AI background to embed artificial intelligence into day-to-day business operations, making workflows more efficient, automated, and data-driven. This role bridges complex datasets across automotive dealerships and equipment rental operations and turns them into actionable insights that improve sales performance, fleet utilization, maintenance planning, pricing strategies, and customer experience.
This position moves beyond traditional reporting by using predictive and prescriptive analytics to proactively guide decisions and streamline daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Driven Operations & Efficiency
- Implement AI and machine learning solutions to automate and optimize daily workflows across sales, service, inventory, and fleet operations.
- Identify repetitive or manual processes and deploy AI tools to improve speed, accuracy, and productivity.
- Integrate AI into CRM, ERP, websites, and internal systems to support teams with real-time insights and automation.
Predictive Analytics & Forecasting
- Build predictive models to identify customer buying and rental cycles before demand occurs.
- Forecast vehicle and equipment demand using historical data, seasonality, regional trends, and market signals.
- Support dynamic pricing and inventory decisions through AI-driven recommendations.
Inventory, Fleet & Asset Optimization
- Optimize vehicle and equipment allocation to ensure the right assets are available at the right time.
- Analyze utilization, telematics, and IoT data to reduce downtime and improve fleet performance.
- Support predictive maintenance initiatives to minimize breakdowns and service disruptions.
AI/ML Model Development
- Develop and deploy machine learning models including clustering, classification, anomaly detection, and time-series forecasting.
- Analyze warranty, repair, and service data to identify recurring issues and operational risks.
- Apply computer vision techniques to automate damage detection and inspection processes where applicable.
Data Engineering, Reporting & Visualization
- Consolidate, clean, and manage data from multiple sources (DMS, CRM, ERP, telematics, third-party platforms).
- Build dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to track KPIs such as sales performance, customer retention, utilization, maintenance efficiency, and ROI.
- Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and SQL.
- Hands-on experience implementing AI and machine learning models in operational environments.
- Experience with predictive analytics, time-series forecasting, and automation.
- Familiarity with automotive retail systems (DMS/CRM) or equipment rental / supply chain systems (ERP, telematics) preferred.
- Ability to clearly communicate insights and recommendations to business leaders and operational teams.
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics or data science, with applied AI or machine learning work.
- Industry experience in automotive, equipment rental, retail, logistics, or related operational
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
